History

It all started in Boston in 1874, Charles James Fox Bennett realizes that the genitals of top cyclists are rather abused. He then decides to come to their aid and this is how the first model of jockstrap was created, initially an athletic fabric support. It was thanks to Canada and its hockey players that the idea came up in 1927 to add a shell to reinforce the protective aspect. The model without rigid protection remains the most widespread.

It's precisely because it provides better support than briefs or boxers that it is now widely used for football, tennis, fitness, dancing and running, for example.
